From August 28th through September 25th, The
Next Door Gallery in the South Park section of
Golden Hill, presents "The Diary of Living / El
Diario de la Vida". This show will feature the
mixed media art of Lupita Shahbazi and Susan
Yamagata. The artist's reception will be held on
Saturday, August 28th from 5 -8 pm.
Studio Maureen and The Next Door Gallery are
open Wednesday through Sunday from noon to 5 pm.
They are located at 2963 Beech Street between 30th
and Dale streets in the South Park section of
Golden Hill. There is plenty of street parking (no

Susan Yamagata's work is bound by her
loose interpretation of a quilt. Using paint,
pens, fabric, ribbons, and paper, she creates
scrolls and quilt-like art pieces that tell a
story of the passage of moments, similar to a
daily journal. |
